WPP has opened Devon’s Point, a 34,000-square-foot production hub in East London. Its 23 September 2026 announcement describes a space for film, photography, content creation and collaboration, supported by AI tools and production services. Reuters covered the opening as agencies face pressure to produce more assets more quickly.

The operational shift

The strategic point is not the building’s size. Campaigns now need many versions: vertical and horizontal video, platform-native edits, language variations and rapid revisions after performance data arrives. Housing creative, production and technology in a shared workflow can shorten handoffs and make reuse easier.

AI can help with transcription, rough cuts, resizing and asset retrieval. It does not remove the need for rights clearance, brand decisions or human approval. A faster studio only creates value when output is organized and measured against commercial outcomes rather than asset volume.

GCC relevance

Gulf campaigns often need Arabic and English variants, distinct Saudi and UAE cultural cues and quick adaptation for Ramadan or local events. Agencies and in-house teams can take the workflow lesson without copying the capital expenditure: a small reusable content system may be enough.

Karim’s strategic takeaway

Build a compact production cell around one service line. Record one expert session with clear permissions, create platform-specific clips and bilingual captions, then compare qualified leads, bookings and production time against the current process. Require a named clinician to approve every health claim before publication. The goal is a dependable production rhythm, not an endless stream of low-quality variants.
