Leaders from the UAE and India welcomed International Holding Company's plan to invest $11.5 billion in a new integrated aluminium complex in Odisha. India described the proposal as the largest integrated investment of its kind in the country.

The discussions also covered the UAE's new L'Imad sovereign fund and cooperation in artificial intelligence, energy, critical minerals, space and food security. Together, those themes show a strategy built around long-term industrial capability and access, not a passive portfolio allocation.

Where the commercial opportunities sit

Gulf companies can participate through logistics, energy, industrial technology and marketing of higher-value downstream products. But the headline value should not be treated as completed economic impact before execution, power requirements, commodity-price exposure and delivery milestones are assessed.
