LinkedIn announced a Creator Discovery beta on 28 September 2026 inside Creator Marketplace, with general availability anticipated in early 2027. The planned filters include content type, creator industry and job function, audience demographics and Top Voices. LinkedIn's official product explanation positions discovery, direct partnership and paid amplification as one workflow.
What makes B2B creator selection different
Consumer influencer campaigns often begin with audience size, format and lifestyle fit. A B2B purchase requires a narrower form of authority. The useful creator is a practitioner who understands the problem, has credibility with the roles involved and can explain trade-offs without turning the content into a product script.
LinkedIn says 63% of B2B buyers rely on creators early in their research and more than half return to creators later to validate decisions. These are platform-reported statistics and should be treated as directional. The durable mechanism is social proof from someone whose professional experience the buyer can evaluate.
From discovery to paid distribution
Creator Marketplace is designed to help a brand find and contact a relevant expert. Thought Leader Ads can then amplify an approved creator post to selected professional audiences beyond the creator's followers. BrandLink offers another model: placing pre-roll advertising next to approved creator or publisher content.
LinkedIn reports large performance advantages for these formats, including a 252% higher click-through rate for Thought Leader Ads than conventional single-image ads. That comparison does not prove equal creative quality, audience intent or campaign selection. A brand should validate the format against its own standard ad with the same offer and target account set.
A credible creator-vetting scorecard
Score candidates on demonstrated expertise, audience-role fit, evidence discipline, comment quality, conflicts of interest and willingness to disclose sponsorship. Review at least ten recent posts. Look for specific reasoning and constructive disagreement, not only engagement totals. Confirm who owns the content, how paid usage works and whether the creator can mention genuine limitations.
Then commission one educational post from three creators around the same buyer problem. Give each the same factual source pack and compliance boundaries without forcing identical language. Amplify only after observing the organic discussion, and preserve visible sponsorship disclosure.
Measurement that reaches beyond engagement
Use matched landing pages or campaign parameters to track qualified visits, content depth, demo or consultation requests and target-account progression. Add creator-assisted pipeline as a separate field rather than crediting the last click. Survey exposed buyers for message recall and credibility, and monitor negative comments or unfollows as trust guardrails.
For a healthcare campaign, the contract must distinguish professional education from clinical endorsement. Claims need substantiation, patient privacy must be protected and local Saudi or UAE advertising and professional rules must be checked before amplification.
Karim's strategic takeaway
Treat the creator as an informed distribution partner, not rented media inventory. A smaller practitioner with the right audience and evidence standards can create more qualified influence than a famous profile. The pilot succeeds when the content improves trust and pipeline quality while surviving compliance review—not when it merely produces a cheaper click.
